MetroPom — Frequently Asked Questions
Joining us for MetroPom? Whether this is your first KupoCon or you’re returning for another adventure, here’s what you need to know before arriving. Have your ticket ready and prepare for a weekend with fellow Final Fantasy fans!
The Basics
When and where is MetroPom?
MetroPom takes place on November 7–8, 2026, at Hilton Metrotown, 6083 McKay Avenue, Burnaby, BC, V5H 2W7.
- Saturday registration: From 9:00am.
- Saturday main event: 10:00am–5:30pm.
- ChocoBOO Rouge: Saturday from 8:00pm. Strictly 19+.
- Community & Franchise Day: Sunday, 10:00am–4:00pm.
- Project Origin screening: Sunday at Cineplex Metropolis. Doors at 6:30pm; film at 7:00pm. Strictly 18+.

I’m new to KupoCon. Where should I start?
Welcome, kupo! You don’t need to arrive knowing everyone—or everything. Give yourself time to explore, try the activities, and meet your fellow fans. Our Kupo101 videos and online community spaces can help you get familiar with the experience before attending. Once onsite, ask our team if you need help getting started.
Are children allowed at MetroPom?
Yes! Children aged 12 and under attend free, with a maximum of two children per paying adult. Children must remain supervised throughout the event.
The evening events have separate age restrictions: ChocoBOO Rouge is strictly 19+, and Project Origin is strictly 18+.
What should I bring?
Have your ticket available, and bring a phone, a pen or pencil, a tote bag, and comfortable footwear. Keep your belongings manageable so you can enjoy the activities without carrying your entire inventory.
Is there a cloakroom or bag storage?
Limited, unmanned coat racks will be available. These are not a staffed cloakroom or secure storage service, so please bring only what you need and keep valuables with you. Belongings are left at your own risk.
What accessibility support is available?
Support includes eligible Carer Passes, queue assistance, designated seating, and a quiet space. Enhanced adjustments may also be available through our Ring of Timely Assistance system.

Tickets & Registration
Does my ticket cover both days?
Yes. Phantom and Doom are weekend passes; there are no single-day passes. Evening events require separate add-ons. Compare ticket inclusions through the MetroPom event page.
How do I change the name on my ticket?
Open your order in Eventbrite and check the available editing options. If you need assistance, contact our support team before the event.
Can I get a refund or have my ticket loot mailed to me?
Tickets are non-refundable, and we cannot mail event loot. Please review the collection and ticket-assignment provisions in our event policies.
What should I do when I arrive?
Follow event signage and staff directions to registration. Keep your ticket ready to help the queue move smoothly, and allow plenty of time to register before the Opening Ceremony.
Can I arrive later in the day?
Yes, but we strongly recommend arriving in time for the Opening Ceremony. It introduces the event and shares information that will help you make the most of your weekend. Missing it can put you at a major disadvantage, particularly if this is your first KupoCon.
Registration closes for the entire Opening Ceremony. If you arrive while it is underway, you will need to wait until it finishes before registering and entering.
The ceremony usually takes place shortly after the event opens. Check the published schedule for the exact timing and allow plenty of time to register beforehand. Please don’t get caught out!
Can I leave and come back?
Yes. Keep your issued wristband or badge visible for entry and re-entry. These cannot be replaced or transferred once issued, so look after them throughout the weekend.
Your KupoCon Weekend
How are Saturday and Sunday different?
MetroPom’s two days offer very different experiences, and your weekend ticket includes both.
Saturday is our main event day, centred on the Opening Ceremony, special guest interviews, stage content, quests, workshops, and community celebrations. Expect the familiar KupoCon experience, with plenty happening throughout the day.
Sunday is Community & Franchise Day, when the focus shifts towards you—the community. The theatre gives way to the Event Square, with interactive activities, attendee-led content, performances, and opportunities to share your interests and creativity.
The market runs on both days, and your Quest Log continues on Sunday. Community Day complements Saturday with a different atmosphere and programme, so plan to explore both!
What is the Quest Log?
Your Quest Log guides you through quests, hunts, and activities. Take part at your own pace, explore the event, and earn gil along the way.
What is gil, and where can I spend it?
Gil is KupoCon’s event currency. Earn it through activities and exchange it for rewards at O’aka’s. Chocolina’s sells merchandise using real money. These are separate ways to shop, so check which currency you need before joining a queue.
What is Mognet Central?
It’s the place to ask for help, enquire about Kupons and add-on collections, drop off Mognet Mail, or report lost property. If you’re unsure where to go, start there.
Will the market run on both days?
Yes! The same market stands will be available throughout the weekend, giving you time to browse across both days.
Special Guests & Autographs
Are autographs included with admission?
No. Neither admission tier includes autographs or guest meet-and-greets. Doom priority access does not remove the requirement for the appropriate signing access.
Can I still buy an autograph bundle?
No. MetroPom autograph bundles are sold out.
If you missed out, individual guest signings will operate through the Kupon system only, subject to availability.
How do Kupons work?

How much do individual autographs and selfies cost?
Prices are set by each guest and may differ. Check the relevant pricing on the day and what your purchase includes before obtaining a Kupon.
Am I guaranteed to meet every guest?
No. Individual signing opportunities depend on capacity, guest availability, and the schedule. Doom ticket holders receive priority, but admission alone does not guarantee a meet-and-greet.
I already bought a bundle. What does it include?
Your Sunday bundle session includes an autograph and selfie with each attending special guest, plus a complimentary print. You may bring your own item to be signed instead. A valid MetroPom admission ticket is also required.
See the original autograph announcement for bundle inclusions. The sold-out status and Kupon-only information in this FAQ supersede its earlier availability and individual-signing information.
Can I bring gifts or letters for guests?
Please bring gifts and letters to Mognet Central. Avoid consumables and consider guests’ luggage space, particularly if they are travelling overseas. Guests may decline gifts.
Can I request autographs during the evening events?
Please use the scheduled signing opportunities. Autograph requests during evening celebrations are not permitted unless initiated by the guest. Please also respect guests’ space at the Project Origin premiere and allow them to enjoy the screening.
ChocoBOO Rouge — Saturday Evening
What is ChocoBOO Rouge?
ChocoBOO Rouge is our Saturday night Halloween celebration, featuring music, dancing, social activities, themed drinks, and KupoCon fun.
Who can attend?
The party is strictly 19+, requires a separate ticket, and is open only to main-event attendees. It begins at 8:00pm on Saturday.
What should I wear?
First and foremost, this is a Halloween party, so embrace the spooky spirit! Cosplay is welcome, and you could give your Final Fantasy character a horrifying makeover: an undead adventurer, a haunted hero, or something with a sinister twist.
Halloween costumes, masquerade looks, and dramatic red outfits also fit the occasion. Or simply wear whatever you feel comfortable celebrating in—dressing to the theme is encouraged, but optional.

Community & Franchise Day — Sunday

Community & Franchise Day runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday and is included with your weekend ticket.
With a different focus from Saturday’s main event, Sunday makes room for community-led content, performances, interactive activities in the Event Square, and the TriPom community tournament. Continue your quests, browse the market, and enjoy what your fellow attendees bring to the weekend.
Final Fantasy remains at the heart of the event, with crossover fandoms such as Kingdom Hearts and NieR joining the fun. Cosplay is welcome!
Can I get involved?
Yes! Community Day applications are now open. Check the application page for opportunities to contribute, participation requirements, and how to apply.

Project Origin — Sunday Evening
What is Project Origin?
Project Origin: For King & Con is the KupoCon documentary. MetroPom hosts its North American premiere.
Where and when is the screening?
The screening takes place on Sunday, November 8, at Cineplex Metropolis, a short walk from the hotel.
- Doors: 6:30pm.
- Film begins: 7:00pm.
- Runtime: Approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes.
Do I need a separate ticket?
Yes. The screening requires a separate add-on and MetroPom attendance. It is strictly 18+.
What should I wear, and why is full cosplay not permitted?
Please dress smart casual and save full cosplay for the daytime events. The documentary explores adult topics and deeply personal experiences, including moments that have changed people’s lives. Out of respect for those sharing their stories and the subject matter, we ask everyone to approach the screening as a premiere rather than a cosplay event.
If you’ve been cosplaying during the day, keeping your wig or makeup on is perfectly fine. There’s no need to remove every trace of your character—just change into suitable clothing for the evening.
No props are permitted. Please also leave illuminated accessories behind and avoid sportswear, heavily ripped clothing, and flip-flops.
Can I take pictures or record?
Not during the film. Silence devices, keep screens dark, and avoid disturbing others. Please save applause for the credits.
Is there a content advisory?
Yes. The documentary includes strong language and sensitive themes involving self-harm, suicide, drug use, abuse, and depression.

Rules & Help
Can I bring cosplay props to the daytime event?
Review our rules before packing. Real weapons and metal props are prohibited. Props are assessed onsite and may require inspection or peace-bonding. Keep prop weapons bagged when travelling outside the event.
Remember that no props are permitted at the Project Origin screening.
What if I need assistance?
Speak to a staff member or volunteer, or visit Mognet Central. Report safety concerns or harassment promptly, and follow staff and venue instructions throughout the weekend.
