Before I arrive…

What is the Address of KupoCon?
KupoCon is located at the Hilton Toronto, 145 Richmond St W, Toronto, ON M5H 2L2

Is There Still Availability at the Hotel?
The room block at the hotel is currently full. Please consider nearby alternatives as there are plenty of hotels within a short distance from the venue.

Are Children Allowed at KupoCon?
Absolutely! KupoCon is a family-friendly event. Children under 12, when accompanied by an adult ticket-holder, can attend for free. Don’t forget to ask for the FREE Kids Quest sheet.

Can I Bring My Pet?
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed within our venue space, except for service animals. This policy is in place for their own well-being.

Is Parking Available at the Venue?

Is There a Cloakroom for Attendees?
Unattended racks will be available. Items are left at your own risk.

I Need to Change the Name on My Ticket. How Can I Do This?
You can easily update the name on your ticket by accessing your Eventbrite account from the “Tickets” section and using the Edit function.

Where Can I Find Information About the Event Schedule?

Is the Venue Wheelchair-Accessible?
Yes, the venue is wheelchair-accessible. Our staff will also be available to assist individuals who may require special support, such as those with difficulty standing. Please review our accessibility policies: https://kupocon.com/accessibility/

Are There Any Rules I Should Be Aware Of?

Let’s talk registration…

Can I Purchase Tickets at the Door?
Unfortunately, tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.

I’m Displaying. What Should I Know?
To get all the information you need about displaying, check the marketplace link provided in your confirmation email. If you can’t find it, feel free to email us.

What/When is Registration?
For KupoCon, it’s essential to arrive on time, especially for newcomers. We recommend arriving before 9:30 am to fully experience the Opening Ceremony, which explains crucial elements of the day. The opening ceremony starts at 10am.

I’m a Patron. When Can I Register?
Patrons can register the evening before the event from 6pm to 8pm. We encourage Patrons to take advantage of this service to collect loot and autograph bundles. Ensure you don’t lose your wristband for the main event the next day, as replacements won’t be provided.

What If I’m Not a Patron? When and Where Can I Register?
You can register from 09:00 on the convention level. Please have your ticket and ID ready.

Can I Bring Bags Into the Event?
Tote bags are acceptable, but large backpacks and suitcases will not be allowed. We stronly advise you to leave backpacks at home.

Do I Collect My Evening Pass During Registration?
No, evening passes are collected at the entrance to the evening event or at pre-registration. Keep your wristband from the day as proof of entry.

 

I’m in! Now what?

What Happens After Registration?
The event kicks off with the Opening Ceremony at 10 am. We highly recommend attending as it will guide you through your KupoCon experience. If you’re running late and it’s your first time, consult your Quest Log to catch up.

What Can I Do Before the Opening Ceremony?
Visit Chocolina’s merchandise desk to grab popular items before they run out. Explore the marketplace with talented sellers, and familiarize yourself with activities in your Quest Log.

The Day & KupoCon Lingo

Do I Need to Register for the Cosplay Parade?
No need to register in advance. Simply join the queue, which forms after the Opening Ceremony concludes. NPC ticket holders cannot access the stage.

Where Do I Collect Items I Need?
Visit Mognet Central, located on the reverse side of the registration area, to collect items such as the Guest Print Pack and Chocobo badges (in any color). Mognet Central also serves as an information hub and drop-off point for Mognet Mail.

What Is Chocolina’s?
Chocolina’s is the hub for KupoCon’s merchandise. Please note that it accepts cash or card payments, but not gil.

Tell Me About the Bank of Mog, The Huntsmasters’ Table, and O’aka’s Gil Exchange?
The Bank of Mog is where you can exchange your earned gil from quests and challenges. The Huntsmasters’ Table is specifically for turning in your hunts. O’aka’s is where you can use your gil to purchase goods.

What Are Gil, Quests, and Hunts?
Gil is the in-event currency earned freely and non-transferable between events. Quests and hunts are activities featured in your Quest Log, which all ticket holders (excluding NPC) will receive. You can also purchase Quest Logs on the day if we have any remaining.

How Important Is the Quest Log?
The Quest Log is your KupoCon bible. It guides you through quests, hunts, challenges, and provides information about various aspects of the event, including the TriPom Tournament and “Masquerade Tokens.”

What Do I Need to Prepare for Activities?
All you need for your Quest Log is a camera and a pencil – most attendees use their camera phones, so ensure you have enough storage space.

What If I Lose My Quest Log?
We recommend marking or labeling your Quest Log to identify it easily. If you lose it, check with lost & found or purchase another one at Chocolina’s.

Is There a Lost & Found Point?
Mognet Central is the primary lost & found location, but you should also check other spots like Bank of Mog, O’aka’s, or Chocolina’s in case items were handed in elsewhere.

Is Food and Drink Available?
The hotel and surrounding area offer food and drink options for attendees.

Is There an ATM in the Building?
Yes, there is an ATM available adjacent to the hotel lobby.

I Pre-Ordered a Guest Autograph Bundle. Where Do I Collect It?
Collect your guest autograph bundle at Mognet Central, which includes individual tokens per guest and a corresponding print. Patrons can collect during pre-registration.

When Can I Meet the Guests?
Refer to our schedule for specific details. We aim to accommodate everyone who wishes to meet the guests.

Can I Have Guests Sign Additional Items?
Yes, guests can sign additional items at their own prices.

Will Guests Have Their Own Items for Signing?
Some guests may have items available, but we also offer items for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own items for signing.

Can I Give Gifts to the Guests?
While guests have historically appreciated gifts, please avoid giving consumable items. Respect their decision if they decline, as they may have personal reasons.

 

What about the evening event?

The Blizzara Winter Ball is for attendees aged 19 and above. Please carry ID in case staff need to verify your age.

What’s the Evening Event Theme?
We’re hosting a gala evening called “The Blizzara Winter Ball.” Note that the evening event requires a separate ticket, priced at and is still available for purchase on our website.

Is There a Dress Code for the Evening Event?
We strongly encourage attendees to dress up smartly, but it’s optional. There may be prizes for those who best embrace the theme. Many people will be wearing suits and dresses. Think blue! Think ice!

Can I Buy Evening Tickets at the Door?
No, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance as they won’t be available at the door.

What If I’m Running Late for the Evening Event?
Security will continue allowing people in, but we advise not arriving later than 20:00.

When Does the Evening Event End?
The evening event registration starts at 19:30 and is expected to close at approximately 00:00, subject to further confirmation.

Tell Me About the Free Gift for the Evening Event?
Each attendee will receive an LED sound-activated wristband with the KupoCon logo as a small goodwill token to enhance the event’s atmosphere and theme.

Will the Merch Desk Be Open During the Evening Event?
A limited selection of merchandise will be available in the evening.
