INTIMATE

Convention events often draw substantial crowds, but at KupoCon, we adhere to a strict attendee limit. Even during our most extensive gatherings, we maintain this cap at approximately 1,500 attendees.

IMMERSIVE

Immersed in a sea of cosplayers, and enveloped by countless references to the series throughout our discussions, quests, and activities, you’ll find yourself fully immersed in the Final Fantasy universe.

INCLUSIVE

Whether you attend alone or with a group, KupoCon welcomes you with open arms, creating an instant sense of belonging. Our tailored programs are designed to facilitate connections and make the event enjoyable.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT KUPOCON?

Saturday is everything you’ve come to expect from KupoCon and more. The day kicks off with the iconic opening ceremony, a staple of the KupoCon experience that you absolutely won’t want to miss. From there, we dive into a full schedule of events, starting with captivating keynote interviews featuring our special guests, where they’ll share insights, stories, and behind-the-scenes moments.

Throughout the day, you’ll also engage with the all-important quest log, a beloved tradition that brings fans together for a series of challenges and adventures that are integral to the KupoCon journey. Every aspect of what makes KupoCon special is woven into Saturday’s events—whether you’re a veteran attendee or a first-timer, you’ll find that the energy and excitement are unmistakably KupoCon.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll celebrate with our award presentations, recognizing the outstanding contributions and creativity of our community. But don’t worry, the fun doesn’t end there! After a brief break, we’ll come back together to party the night away, making memories that will last long after the event is over.

QUEST LOG

One of the most crucial parts of KupoCon, is the Quest Log. During the event you can participate in quests and hunts to earn rewards. It’s just like playing a real FINAL FANTASY game.

EVENT EXCLUSIVE LOOT

We have over 100 unique merch items for you to browse, not including the event specific items we make for the loot bags. You’ll be blown away by the selection of exclusive goods.

TRIPOM TRADING CARDS

Based on Triple Triad from Final Fantasy VIII, we have produced a giant set of trading cards for you to collect. You will be blown away by the size of the series and the detail of the art. Made exclusively for KupoCon.

AWARD PRESENTATIONS

We recognize the best cosplays, displays and special people within the community at every event. Usually presented at the closing ceremonies, you can expect some tears. Bring tissues. We make even the toughest cry.

ACTIVE TIME EVENTS

ATEs or Active Time Events take place throughout the day at KupoCon. You get no warning but the activity will surely bring a smile to your face. It’s usually something lifted right from a game. Surprise!

COSPLAYERS

One thing you can be sure of is the quality of cosplay and our community never disappoints. As you walk around the event, you are in for a real treat. Be sure to respect everyone!  We include the cosplays in a special activity in your quest log!

GUEST INTERVIEWS

Quality over quantity. We don’t invite dozens of guests. We source guests that understand the values of KupoCon so we don’t end up with a cattle market. Our keynotes are always good. We allow you to meet the guests in a natural setting.

WORKSHOPS & CHALLENGES

Are you creative? We offer unique workshops so you can get your hands dirty. We also put together special challenges to test your Final Fantasy knowledge. These usually come with a unique set of rewards in addition to your Quest Log. Good luck!

GIL - EVENT CURRENCY

Flex that Gil! Every time you complete a quest, finish a hunt or win a challenge, you can obtain Gil. You can use this currency in certain areas of the event and exchange it for free merch. Yes, you read that correctly.

FAMILY FRIENDLY

KupoCon is produced & led by a father of two, so creating a family friendly experience is one of our top priorities. That’s why KupoCon is free for children 12 and under.

WHAT ABOUT (SUNDAY) COMMUNITY DAY?

Many conventions tend to follow a repetitive pattern, with each day blending into the next. But at KupoCon, we like to shake things up. Day 2, available as an additional add-on, is dedicated to our community—a day that stands apart from the rest. While the market stays open and the excitement of the Quest Log continues, along with all the familiar KupoCon services, there are some key differences that make this day truly unique.

Day 2 is all about celebrating the community that makes KupoCon so special. You’ll have the chance to attend community panels where fans come together to share their passions, insights, and experiences. These panels are the heart and soul of the day, offering a platform for voices from across the community to be heard.

We’re also bringing back the beloved Event Square, a nostalgic throwback to the early generations of KupoCon. This space is all about interaction. Additionally, we’re introducing new displays and competitions, giving you the opportunity to showcase your creativity and compete for top honors.

So if you’re looking for a day that’s as dynamic and diverse as the KupoCon community itself, Day 2 is not to be missed. Read on to learn more about what’s in store and how you can be a part of this special day.

TWO-DAY MARKET

For the first time, KupoCon will offer a two-day market. This allows you to explore the event at your own pace without the stress of watching the clock. The market stands will be the same.

TRIPOM COMMUNITY TOURNAMENT

After a day of trading and collecting cards on Saturday, come and join the community tournament on Sunday.

COMMUNITY PANELS

During Community Day, attendees have the opportunity to host panels on topics they’re passionate about. These sessions are often more focused and cover a wide range of Final Fantasy themes. Schedule coming soon.

BUSKERS + PERFORMANCES

We’re excited to invite performers to showcase their talents at Pomfinity (Community Day) in Glasgow! Once you’ve secured your ticket, you can apply to be a busker. Attendees will be encouraged to donate gil to performers, which they can then use to purchase merch at O’aka’s.

EVENT SQUARE

Making a triumphant return to KupoCon is the Event Square. Participate in a number of unique activities that incorporate Final Fantasy in some special way.

COMMUNITY COMPETITIONS

For the first time, we’re introducing a variety of displays and competitions to the show. Artists and creatives are invited to submit their work, with winning entries selected by our panel of judges. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'm completely new to KupoCon. Where do I start?

Joining any new community can be daunting. However, KupoCon is designed to be as welcoming as possible. All we require from you is a little bit of confidence to make the commitment to attend the event. Even before doing that you can begin your journey by making new friends in our Community Group or on our Discord.  On arrival, ask for a Chocobo badge. We have a system in place to support newcomers. KupoCon is like a giant Final Fantasy celebration or birthday party. You will be blown away by the unique atmosphere.

Explain the difference between the days?

Saturday embodies the quintessential KupoCon experience, offering everything you’d expect: captivating opening and closing ceremonies, esteemed special guests, a bustling Final Fantasy-centric market, engaging quests, and a variety of services.

Sunday continues the adventure with Community Day. Although there are no opening and closing ceremonies, you’ll find community panels, buskers, and the lively event square. All KupoCon services remain available, along with some additional activities. The market is still open for browsing, and while the special guests may vary, you can look forward to autograph sessions. Please note, attendance on Sunday requires having attended on Saturday.

What is the Chocobo Badge system?

We’ve put together a video explaining the system. You can find it here:

Are there any discounts available?

Yes, children 12 and under can attend for free. No pre-registration is needed—just bring them along. We accommodate a large number of kids!

Do you have special hotel rates?

Yes. Starting at £175/night. The Hilton Glasgow is offering a small room block offering a B&B option. Please note that full payment is required on booking.

You may wish to opt for a more affordable option with something that offers a more flexible booking.

Can I attend the evening or Sunday without attending the Saturday?

You are welcome to attend Saturday. Just keep in mind to attend The Kupo-Era party on Saturday night or Community Day on Sunday, you have to have a day ticket for Saturday.

Are tickets limited?

Yes. Attendance is capped at just 850 people. This makes it our most intimate 2-day event yet.

When will you announce guests and loot?

As we get closer to the event we will reveal certain loot items and announce the special guests in attendance. In some cases it may only be weeks ahead of the event due to guest scheduling and commitments. We always aim to please, so don’t worry. Every KupoCon event has great guests and amazing loot!

I have a disability. Can I bring a caregiver with me?

It certain situations, yes. You would need to purchase your ticket and then apply for a carer pass. The individual whom you wish to bring as your caregiver will need to show proof of one of the following:

-DLA Disability Living Allowance MIDDLE RATE OR HIGHER
-AA Attendance Allowance
-Blind Persons Registration
-PIP Personal Independence Payment ENHANCED CARE
-Armed Forces Independence Payment

…or the regional equivalent

You must apply in advance. You cannot do this at the door. Send us an email with your ticket order number and supporting documents to [email protected] – Applications must be submitted within 14 days after your intial purchase.

How many of each ticket type?

The number of tickets available in each tier is carefully determined based on the event’s financial needs. KupoCon is an incredibly costly production, and if all tickets were priced at the Standard tier, the event simply wouldn’t be feasible. To help cover these expenses, we offer higher-tier tickets that include additional perks and exclusive rewards, such as special loot.

What are priority services?

This varies by event, but typically includes early access to autograph bundles, speed passes for quest turn-ins and workshops, and a separate entry system.

Where is the NPC ticket option?

The NPC ticket has been discontinued. This ticket was initially introduced to allow attendees to bring a guest who might not be interested in the series but still wanted to join a friend at the event.

We decided to remove this ticket for two reasons. First, many people were purchasing it without understanding its purpose, leading to disappointment when they found out it was heavily restricted and did not include a quest log or access to guests. Second, due to KupoCon’s growing popularity and high demand for tickets, we prefer to reserve tickets for fans who want to fully immerse themselves in the experience. Thank you for your understanding.

I would like a table at KupoCon. How do I register?

Visit the market section of our website. Make sure you have a valid ticket for both days and apply for a free table. Additional tables can be purchased and we now offer advertisement space in our Quest Log. Note that this is a 2-day market and you are required to display both days.

Where can I learn more about all the KupoCon terms?

We have a dedicated glossary on our website. You can find it here: https://kupocon.com/glossary/

We also have a growing series on YouTube called Kupo 101: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsWuBBY9XbPsNXBuS1KntihcWH9LdIYrL

Is your event LGBTQ+ friendly?

Everyone is welcome at KupoCon. As long as you respect our rules, you need not worry. Please join us.

Where is your event schedule?
We typically post a schedule 30 days ahead of the event. It will be posted to this page.
How do you set your ticket prices?

KupoCon works really hard to keep the event affordable but also rewarding. Our tickets may be more expensive than your typical local con, but the rewards with ours are far greater. The quest log alone can earn you lots of free rewards.

I need help. Where can I reach you?

Please send an email to [email protected] – Please note that we have a very small annual team and it can take a few days for us to respond to your request.

Will guests attend both days?

It’s possible, but we won’t promise it. Guests are listed on the specific day they are attending. Of course, we will invite them to join us for both days but they may have limited availability.

Also note that autograph sessions, Kupon or bundle based may be on a specific day, so we suggest purchasing a pass for both days.
