A few weeks ago, we announced that KupoCon would be heading to Cardiff for a KupoCon Pop Up event, and today we’re pleased to confirm further information.

The Pop Up will take place on September 12–13 at the “Holland House Hotel Cardiff By Sunday”.

The pop up will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily.

On Saturday evening, we will also host a special 18+ Cocktail Mixer running from 7:30 p.m. until midnight.

Unlike a traditional KupoCon convention, this is a much smaller pop up style event. The weekend is designed as a relaxed opportunity to meet members of the community, pick up exclusive KupoCon merchandise, and learn more about our upcoming conventions and projects.

Please note that, as this is a pop up event, there will be no market hall. However, we are currently exploring the possibility of arranging a special guest appearance during the weekend.

We’re also excited to confirm that the weekend will feature a special excursion Quest Log. This unique quest experience will encourage attendees to head out into the city of Cardiff, complete objectives and activities, then return to earn Gil that can be spent on merchandise available throughout the weekend.

Admission to the daytime pop up will be completely free of charge, and attendees are welcome to visit freely throughout the weekend. However, we will also offer an optional paid admission package which will include a commemorative tote bag and the full Quest Log experience for the weekend. While daytime admission is free, pre registration may still be required should the event reach capacity, so we strongly encourage attendees to register online in advance once registration opens.

The Saturday evening Cocktail Mixer will require a separate paid admission ticket.

We’re also pleased to confirm that KupoCon Patrons will receive access to special discounts throughout the weekend. Patrons attending the event will receive a special discount sheet on arrival which can be used on merchandise during the pop up. If you’d like access to these benefits, we encourage you to join our Patreon community ahead of the event.

Registration for both the free daytime event and the paid admission options will open on Thursday, June 18.
