Pomfinity – Community Day Competitions

As part of Pomfinity Community Day on Sunday, we are excited to host two exciting competitions: an art competition and a prop competition, giving fans the chance to showcase their creativity and passion for Final Fantasy. Whether you’re a talented artist or a skilled prop maker, these competitions are the perfect opportunity to display your work. The winners will receive ribbons and a gil prize. Full details on entry guidelines, themes, and submission deadlines can be found below. 

ART COMPETITION

Theme:

  • The theme for the competition is “Limit Break,” inspired by the iconic Final Fantasy series.

Eligibility:

  • The competition is open to all artists, whether or not they are attending KupoCon.
  • Both digital and traditional artworks are accepted.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Digital Entries: Artists may submit digital files via email to [email protected] with the subject line POMFINITY ART SUBMISSION. Accepted formats include JPEG, PNG, and PDF. The maximum file size is 10MB. You may attach a drive link up to a maximum of 25MB.
  • Physical Entries: Artists attending KupoCon may submit physical artworks. These must be no larger than A3 (11.7 x 16.5 inches) and should be ready for display.

Entry Requirements:

  • All entries must be original works created specifically for this competition.
  • Only one entry per artist is allowed.
  • The artist’s name, title of the artwork, and a brief description explaining the interpretation of the “Limit Break” theme must accompany each submission.

Judging Criteria:

  • Creativity and originality in interpreting the “Limit Break” theme.
  • Technical skill and overall quality of the artwork.
  • Emotional impact and storytelling within the piece.

Recognition:

  • Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
  • Winners will be announced at KupoCon and online via KupoCon’s social media platforms.

Submission Deadline:

  • All digital entries must be submitted via email by January 15.
  • Physical entries must be submitted at the Mognet Central desk by 12 noon on the day of the main event (Saturday). Please have your name and contact details on the reverse.

Additional Information:

  • By entering the competition, artists agree to allow their work to be displayed on KupoCon’s social media platforms and other promotional materials.
  • Artists retain all rights to their work.

     

    PROP COMPETITION

    Eligibility:

    • The competition is open to all KupoCon attendees.
    • Each entry must be a physical prop inspired by the Final Fantasy universe.
    • Props may be either handmade or commissioned, but all contributors, including designers, builders, and those who provided 3D-printed files, must be credited.

    Submission Requirements:

    • Participants must submit, via email, detailed information about the prop, including:
      • A brief description of the prop’s inspiration.
      • The names and roles of all individuals involved in the creation of the prop.
      • If applicable, details of any 3D printing files used, including the source and creator.
      • You should include a photo of the prop for reference.

    General Rules:

    • Each participant may enter only one prop.
    • Props must be completed and ready for display at KupoCon.
    • The prop must be safe for public display. Sharp edges, exposed wires, or any elements that could cause harm are not permitted.
    • Props must be portable and able to fit through standard doorways.

    Judging Criteria:

    • Originality and creativity of the prop design.
    • Quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
    • Faithfulness to the Final Fantasy theme.
    • The extent of collaboration and transparency in the creation process.

    Prizes:

    • Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

    Submission Deadline:

    • All entries must be submitted to [email protected] with the subject line POMFINITY PROP SUBMISSION by February 1.

    Additional Information:

    • By entering the competition, participants agree to allow their props to be photographed and displayed on KupoCon’s social media platforms and other promotional materials. Props must be delivered to Mognet Central between 8am & 9am on Sunday morning. They will remain on display all day Sunday.
