Volunteering at KupoCon
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at KupoCon. Volunteering is a rewarding experience and is essential to the smooth running of our events. Here’s your chance to become a part in making a memorable day happen.
As a volunteer, you represent KupoCon. What kind of people are we looking for?
- Individuals passionate about the Final Fantasy series.
- Friendly personalities with a desire to assist others.
- Those keen to see the event strive.
The list could go on, but if you are not afraid to work in a busy environment and are courteous with other people, then you are ready for the role – and you will find your day to be one of sheer enjoyment.

By submitting an application, you agree to the following if you are selected:

- You must not consume alcohol or drugs while on duty
- Comply by the volunteer dress code—i.e., wear the t-shirt and/or badge
- Be respectful and conduct yourself in a professional manner among attendees, fellow volunteers, hotel management, and all areas relevant to KupoCon, including but not limited to staff, special guests, performers, security, and vendors.
- Sign a waiver of liability and NDA upon arrival adhereing to these terms
- Failure to comply with these rules will lead to your removal from the event
- Not showing up on the day, without a legitimate reason, will result in being prohibited from volunteering at future events
PLEASE REFER TO THE APPLICATION FOR EVENT-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS/TERMS
KupoCon staff reserve the right to turn away volunteers at the door should they turn up in a manner unsuitable for the role (such as being intoxicated). We will continue to uphold this standard throughout the day.

After filling in your application, you will be contacted by our support team.
If you are successful, you will be invited to a discord server where you will be able to interact with other memebrs of the team.
Acceptance into the Discord as well as any updates page will contain exclusive KupoCon information. Anyone found to be leaking such information will be removed from the group and prohibited from volunteering or attending future events. There will be zero tolerance for those who disobey.
What am I here to do?
You will be assisting staff with registration, guest tables, our unique Bank of Mog and O’aka’s desks, our Chocolina’s merchandise table, and other straightforward tasks. As a team, we will assure smooth operation of the event for attendees and special guests alike.
Can I cosplay?
Yes, but please keep in mind attendees will need to know you are a volunteer, so don’t overdress for the occasion. If you need clarification, just let us know how you intend to cosplay, and we’ll try to make something work.
Am I expected to work at the evening event?
Simply put, no. But you are welcome to assist. Such tasks would be the distribution of evening wristbands for entry, and our merch desk that will remain open early in the night.
What if I’m running late? What if I am unable to show up? Etc. etc.
Don’t worry about questions like these for now. Closer to whatever relevant event, we will run through the specifics like these.
Any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to drop us a message using the form on the bottom of the following page: https://kupocon.com/about/
How do you select volunteers?
As KupoCon has grown, the demand for volunteer spots has increased. While volunteering at previous events is not essential, it is a bonus. In the event that we receive more volunteer applications than needed, volunteers will be selected on a mix of merit and chance. A portion of the team will be selected for their experience, and a portion allowing for first-timers.
If you are unssucessful, you will be given an opportunity to purchase a ticket for the event if tickets are available.
