KupoCon was established in the months leading up to the release of FINAL FANTASY XV, so naturally we have a fondness for the title, as it was such a crucial part of our events over the last few years.

Today, we are delighted to announce the outline of our plans for the XV Anniversary Tour, which includes both physical and digital activities. So, let us get started with digital.

The last 18 months has changed our outlook on how we can deliver events in the face of COVID-19. We’ve seen huge success from our online events. We’ve been able to reach people from all corners of the globe, which is something that is much harder to do with physical offerings. For this reason, we’ve decided to host a special digital anniversary celebration on November 27-28. The event will include multiple streams containing special guest interviews, community panels, unique music performances, and ‘special viewings’. As always, our online content will be entirely free to watch and participate in.

Now, let’s get physical. Even though we are all still feeling the effects of COVID-19, the world is beginning to bounce back with the aid of vaccinations and reduced regional restrictions. We must push forward and look to the future, even if the future is not clear yet. Today, we are thrilled to announce our hopes and intentions to host incredibly special anniversary parties in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. Each of these events will work like our previous launch parties for the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE. They will be extremely limited in numbers and will be primarily a social occasion where we encourage you to dress up, cosplay if you like, and have fun! We’ll bring someone special to each event – promise! The schedule of these events will be announced in due course. Unlike the remake events, these events may be spaced out much further to allow for quarantine periods. Our hope is to host these from November through February.

What our digital and physical events will have in common is a unique loot offering. We are in the process of crafting a beautiful set of merchandise to celebrate the 5-year anniversary. These will be available as part of a physical ticket or can be purchased via our online store. We will be shipping worldwide.

We will expand further on these plans during KupoCast on June 27. We will not deny that many of our physical plans will rely on the success of the battle against the pandemic, but we must start to plan now to make these events a reality. We ask you to cross your fingers for us as we work to celebrate this important milestone. We know how much this game means to so many of you.
