In accordance with new government guidelines, we are announcing several important changes for Retropom. We can no longer enforce the use of masks; however, we strongly suggest you wear one while in crowded spaces. We are still encouraging every attendee to take a test the morning of the event for the safety of all attendees, regardless of vaccination status.

Wearing a mask to meet the guests will remain mandatory unless otherwise stated. Please respect a guest’s right to wear a mask when taking photographs.

We’re opting to continue using the NHS COVID Pass for those who are vaccinated. If you are travelling from overseas, please make sure you have proof of your vaccines. If you are not vaccinated, please provide results of a negative test taken within 48 hours of the event.

Indoor photos without masks are now permitted, but we ask that you be mindful of other people’s personal space. If the weather is good, please consider taking group photos outside.

In light of these changes, we are able to release another small set of tickets for the day and evening events. These tickets will be available from 6PM today. The event is still operating well below the official capacities as safety continues to be of paramount importance.

While we are thrilled that we’re heading toward some normality, we must continue to be sensible and respect others. Please make sure you familiarize yourself with the rules of the event and our Chocobo badge system.

We are just a month away from Retropom in London. We are reminding attendees that proof of vaccine, such as the NHS COVID Pass or your countries equivalent is required on arrival. If you are not vaccinated, please provide results of a negative test taken within 48 hours of the event. Furthermore, we’re asking all attendees regardless of their vaccine status to take a test the morning of the event. This will provide us with the safest environment for all. If you get a positive test, please do not attend the event. You do not need to show proof of a negative test if you have your proof of vaccine, but you should still take the test anyway. It’s the right thing to do.

A reminder that masks are required in all indoors spaces of the event unless you are exempt. Do not remove your mask for photos. The event schedule has been designed to allow time for breaks outside without missing key events. Try to take frequent breaks.

In December, we further reduced the capacity as a precaution. Today we can begin adding back a small number of tickets. For the day event we will be operating at a maximum of 71% capacity and the evening at 42% capacity. This number includes staff, volunteers and guests.

Based on the latest government guidelines we are reminding attendees that we will require every attendee to provide a COVID Pass on arrival showing that you are fully vacinated. If you are not vaccinated a recent lateral flow test or PCR within 72-hours of admission will be sufficient for entry.

We are also asking everyone to assist us in keeping other attendees safe by wearing a mask (unless exempt) in crowded indoor spaces. Wearing a mask will be required when interacting with guests at their tables.

We have also made the decision to reduce capacity by a further 10% to further increase the space available to our current attendees. These changes have already been actioned and are reflected on the ticket portal.

We will reassess the situation after the holiday season. We thank you for your continued cooperation and support of KupoCon.

Due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19 and the disruption to international travel, we have decided to indefinately postpone Pomza in Melbourne. We are still committed to brining KupoCon to Australia and will provide further updates in the future.

#10 – Tuesday, January 5, 2021
With a heavy heart, we are sad to announce that Retropom in London (Scheduled for May 1st) is being postponed due to the increased number of cases in the UK. We hope to reschedule the event for later in the year. It is important to us that we lead by example. We want to be a part of the solution, not the problem.

Furthermore, tickets for Pomza in Melbourne are being released at a later date with the hope of proceeding with the event in September.

#8 – Monday, November 16, 2020
With no significant improvement in Quebec regarding the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to further postpone the resumption of ticket sales of Le Pom, which is currently scheduled for March 20, 2021.

We remain in contact with our venue and will continue to assess the situation on a weekly basis. However, we appreciate that attendees need time to plan accordingly, so we have decided to make a final decision for the event by no later than December 15.

While we remain hopeful that a vaccine may be available by this time, we may not be able to release further tickets for the event so as to comply with social distancing guidelines.

After reviewing the current situation in Quebec, we have decided to further delay tickets sales for Le Pom on March 20, 2021. Tickets will now resume on November 16.

We are pleased to report that we have secured new dates for all of our postponed events. Details will be shared once the arrangements are complete. We hope to schedule a KupoCast in the near future.

#5 – Sunday, May 10, 2020
It is with great regret we inform prospective attendees that KupoCon: Retropom in London, Sep 19 2020, is postponed. As with our other postponed events, the situation surrounding COVID-19 is too untenable to allow KupoCon to go ahead.

With the current postponement of every 2020 event, we must confirm furthermore that none of these events will be taking place this year. KupoCon will not see a physical event in 2020. The three core pillars of our event’s philosophy – intimacy, immersion, and inclusivity – could never be brought to full fruition, and nor would we dare risk the health and safety of our attendees to push these forward.

However, please do not fret. Postponements are not cancellations. And nor are we planning to remain inactive. Please follow the social channels, for already we have held a free online event with great success and, alongside other activities and a great community vibe, plenty more is to come.

Today we can confirm that KupoCon: Le Pom in Montreal on July 18 is being postponed again. This decision was made based on provincial guidelines and the ongoing effects of COVID-19. The safety of our attendees is paramount. With this firmly in mind, our focus is now to secure a new date in the future, allowing ample time for our attendees to make new arrangements. All tickets remain valid, including market tables. If you cannot make the new date once it is announced, you may contact us for a full refund. Further information will be provided in the weeks ahead.

It is with a heavy heart that we confirm KupoCon: Pomza in Melbourne on October 17, 2020 will be postponed until a later date in 2021 due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19. We are in contact with our venue and are actively working to find a new date for the event. We are still committed to bringing KupoCon to our friends in Australia. Please stay safe during these difficult times.

KupoCon continues to monitor the situation. At this time, we advise prospective attendees to refrain from making travel arrangements for upcoming events. It is likely that some of these dates may be rescheduled due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19.

We anticipate these possible postponements may affect our schedule for the foreseeable future and therefore are postponing Project Junon Path indefinitely. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
