KupoCast – November 2023

Nov 14, 2022 | Announcements

Here’s a summary of all the exciting announcements made during KupoCast! There’s plenty of news about upcoming events, new products, TriPom updates, Patreon changes and much more as me move into a new generation. If you want to watch the stream back, just click the video above or watch it on our YouTube channel.

– KupoCon is making some changes to the Patreon with better perks!

– A new TriPom Prototype has been revealed to Patrons via our Discord.

– KupoShop is back to a patron exclusive service.

– We’ve now released more evening tickets and activated the wait list for day tickets.
– In response to some criticism received after tickets sold very quickly, we want to continue keeping KupoCon intimate, immersive and inclusive. We therefore stand by our decision to keep the venue on a smaller scale and strive for quality over quantity.

– Autograph bundle will release on Nov 25. The release time will be confirmed soon. Keep an eye on social media for updates.

– Volunteering applications will be open around the holidays.

– As we only have 500 ties available for the evening gift, we’re also offering an iron-on blazer patch as an alternative. You can only choose one and both are offered on a first come first served basis.

– The official Pom2 artwork by Fiveonthe. Isn’t is stunning?!

– Pom2 will be held at Novotel London West in Hammersmith on the 16-17 September.

– We may skip London as an event location in 2024 so keep that in mind.

– Day 1 will be your typical KupoCon main event with an evening party.

– Day 2 will be similar to our pop-up events. It’ll be a shorter and much more relaxed day with special quests and community panels. The Bank of Mog and Kupo-merch tables will be open. It will only cost £8 per ticket to attend. What a bargain!

– More details will be revealed in February’s KupoCast.

– A new generation means shiny new Gil will be released. The Gil from previous events cannot be used at upcoming events.

– Chocobo badges are now in pin badge form! They will only cost £1/$1 each and can be reused at any event.

– For those that wish to have them as a collectible, we kindly ask those who don’t need to wear them during an event wait to purchase them at the end of the day. This is so people don’t get any mixed messages during the day.

– Generation VI will have some hefty changes to TriPom.

– The TriPom Trader tables were a huge hit at previous events to it will be at all future KupoCon events. They’ll have folders full of rare, promo and LB TriPom cards for you to barter and trade your spares for.

– New Ultima boxes featuring the stunning Ifrit artwork.

– We’re releasing a HUGE amount of new TriPom cards. The ones in the slide are just a small taster of what’s to come.

– We’re considering including a list FC TriPom cards in the new Ultimania.

– New Booster cover card designs of Gen VI.

– All cards from Gen I to Gen III have been removed. You can only find them in starter packs and Gen V boosters (which have been discontinued so grab them quick!).

– Foil LB cards will still be available going forward.

– We’re trialling the use of UV coating to keep those LB cards a bit more protected.

– We’re introducing a new type of card that needs a 10-sided dice to use it! The cards will possibly be called “random encounter cards”. The X would be the number rolled on the dice.

– They’ll most likely be updated versions of currently available cards.- The design of the dice is still a work in progress so keep an eye out for updates.

– There will be a very limited number of the puzzles available at events due to the size of the boxes.
– The pieces have been quality tested by Lahara who loves puzzles. It took her around 2 days to complete and she reports that the pieces are very sturdy and are great quality.

And we have various other updates!

– After the huge success of Mogzart Volume I on vinyl, we’re releasing Volume II

– Patrons can order a copy of the ‘SeeD: The Beginning’ book for free (you just pay for Shipping!).

– The XVI tour will be in the Summer 2023 and will be a bit different to the Remake tour we hosted previously.

– Once we have confirmed release dates of the games, we’ll be able to release more information about these events.

– We’re going to make it even easier to turn in quests at future events after the successful trial of a new system at Le Pom.

– You’ll receive more Tokens of Masquerades to hand out at the events (possibly 2 or 3 per person).

– RPG books are still in the planning stages with storyboards being finalised. We’re hoping for a release at the end of 2023 but more info will be available at the beginning of next year.

– We are considering another NA event soon so let us know where you want us to visit on social media!

– There are only 2 FC hoodies left! We’re working on a new design and are looking to offer a customizable option to get your name on it too! Pre-orders coming soon.

– It will be the KupoCon FC’s 3rd birthday on 28th November so we’re releasing a new TriPom card to celebrate. Details on how to obtain one will be released soon.

– The 35th Anniversary celebration will be spread across most of December with Patreon calls, FC events, interviews, giveaways and more! Details are coming very soon.
– We haven’t forgotten about Australia! We’re still working on dates so please keep an eye out for more details.

– More information about YoRHaCon was announced! We’re taking our experience from running KupoCons and transplant it into YoRHacon.

– We’ll be testing this exciting new event at Pom2. Think of it as a little crossover event.

– If you’re a NieR fan, you don’t want to miss Pom2!
